Music Director

Ms.Meng began her performing career at age nine.  She performs extensively as recitalist, chamber music and orchestra musician throughout North America, Europe and Asia.  She has appeared at major venues around the world including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, Symphony Space, New York Viola Society, Chicago Orchestra Hall, Disney Concert Hall, Dallas Meyerson Concert Hall, San Diego Copley Symphony Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Concert Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Tokyo Suntory Hall, Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara, Singapore Victoria Concert Hall, Malaysia DewanFilharmonikPetronas, Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall and Hong Kong Cultural Center.

As a chamber musician, Ms. Meng has collaborated with David Finckel of the Emerson String Quartet and Wu Han at Aspen music festival.  She has worked together with virtuosos from Berlin Philharmonic and Vienna Philharmonic at Pacific Music Festival held in Japan.  Ms. Meng also has participated in the New York String Seminar, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and Juilliard Chamber Fest where she worked with Juilliard String Quartet, Guarneri String Quartet, Borromeo String Quartet, and other distinguished chamber music artists.  As an active orchestra performer, Ms. Meng has held principal positions in the orchestras such as Aspen Music Festival, Pacific Music Festival, Jeunesses Music World Orchestra, Juilliard Orchestra, Orpheus Institute Chamber Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra and China Women Symphony Orchestra.  She has worked under world-renowned conductors such as James Colon, James Depriest, Charles Dutoit, Carlos Kalmar, Jaime Laredo, Andrew Litton, Otto Mueller, Sir Roger Norrington, Michael Thomas, Seiji Ozawa and Joseph Silverstein.

Ms. Meng studied at the pre-college of Central Conservatory in Beijing.  She received her bachelor and master degrees in music from the Juilliard School of Music where she studied with Misha Amory, Heidi Castleman and Hsin-Yun Huang.  Ms. Meng has studied chamber music with Joel Krosnick, Joel Smirnoff and Jerry Grossman.  As a full scholarship recipient, she has received C. & H. Lewine Scholarship, Irving Ruckens Scholarship, an Honor Scholar of Marion &Eubie Blake Foundation, Victor Herbert Prize and Jerome L. Greene Fellowship in Music.

As a founding member and dedicated teacher at Musipire, Ms. Meng has been teaching violin and viola since 2003.  Her students have been awarded Gold Medal in the International Young Musician Competition “Passion of Muisc” held by the American Association for development of the gifted and talented organization, and prize winner of the American Protégé International Competition.  Her students have been appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and United Nation and have been accepted into Juilliard School of Music pre-college, Harvard, MIT, Yale and Columbia university.  She has served as faculty member at Diller-Quaile school of music where she taught chamber music and orchestra studies.  Currently, she is on the music director of Musipire and Producer of Musipire Media.
