Introduction
• Welcome to the Musipire Summer Program! This document outlines the policies and procedures governing participation in our summer activities, ensuring a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for all students.
Enrollment and Admissions
• Eligibility: Open to all children ages 5-10. Previous musical or artistic experience is not required.
• Enrollment closes two weeks before the program starts or when maximum capacity is reached.
Program Fees and Payments
• The total cost covers tuition, materials, and any scheduled activities. Detailed fee structures are provided at the time of registration.
• Payment Methods: We accept credit cards, and cash payments.
• Late Payments: A late fee is applicable for payments received after the due date. Continued non-payment may result in suspension from the program.
• Refunds: Full refunds are available up to four weeks before the program start date. A 50% refund is available up to two weeks before the program starts. No refunds will be given after this period.
Attendance and Punctuality
• Regular attendance is encouraged to maximize the learning experience, although we understand summer plans may vary. Parents must communicate any absences to their child’s teacher or notify the school.
Health and Safety
• We adhere to the highest standards of health and safety. All areas are regularly sanitized, and emergency drills are conducted periodically.
• Staff are trained in first aid and CPR. In case of a medical emergency, parents will be contacted immediately.
Behavior and Discipline
• Respect, cooperation, and enthusiasm are expected from all students. Bullying or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
• Disciplinary Actions: May include timeouts, parent conferences, and, if necessary, suspension from the program.
• Grievances: Parents may address concerns with the program director. Appeals against disciplinary decisions must be submitted in writing.
Academic Policies
• Our curriculum includes a mix of academic learning, music education, and creative arts, designed to cater to a broad range of interests and learning styles.
Parental Involvement
• Regular updates will be provided through newsletters, digital formats, emails, text messages, and phone communication.
Data Privacy
• Personal data is used strictly for program purposes and not shared with third parties without consent.
Media Release
• During our Summer Program, we engage in numerous activities that are documented through photos and videos. These materials are crucial for internal communication with parents/guardians and for documenting student progress and program activities.
• Mandatory Consent for Internal Communication Use (Required).
• Optional Consent for Public Use (Optional): Parents can choose whether to allow the use of images and videos of their child for public promotional purposes.
Liability and Indemnification
• Assumption of Risk: By enrolling their child in the Musipire Summer Program, parents acknowledge that participation in normal educational and recreational activities inherently involves certain risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, property damage, and other risks associated with active participation. Parents accept and assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and assume full responsibility for their child’s participation.
• Waiver of Liability: Parents agree to waive, release, and discharge Musipire Music School, its staff, directors, and agents from any and all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities that arise out of or are related to their child’s participation in the program. This includes any claims of negligence.
• Indemnification: Parents further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Musipire Music School and its staff from any and all claims arising from their child’s participation in the program, as well as any costs, attorney’s fees, and liabilities incurred as a result of these claims.
Amendments
• These policies may be revised as necessary. Updates will be communicated through official channels and take effect immediately upon announcement.
Acceptance of Policies
• By registering, parents and guardians agree to abide by these policies and ensure their child adheres to the same standards.
